Training Overview

Disaster management training is crucial for armed forces, as they often play a significant role in responding to natural disasters, emergencies, and other crises. These types of training typically involves a variety of skills and knowledge areas such as Search and Rescue Operations, Medical Assistance, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Communication Strategies, Crisis Management as well as Community Engagement. Given Nepal's vulnerability to natural disaster, including earthquakes and floods, it is of great importance that Nepali Army should be well trained in every aspect of disaster and disaster response and recovery.

In the process of disaster management, individuals trained to deal with crisis situations play key role in rescuing, protecting lives, and providing support. This equips the military with the intelligence and capabilities needed to respond swiftly. Troops are trained in specific environment which further enhances the troop's operational capability. There is currently one dedicated disaster training school in Nepali Army. With up to date training programs and skills exchange program with other countries' expert and a remarkable demonstration of preparedness and resilience, the Nepali Army continues to elevate its disaster management capabilities through a series of intensive training exercises. Collaborating closely with experts in disaster management, the Nepali Army has been on the forefront, actively engaging in initiatives aimed at ensuring the safety and security of the nation in the face of natural calamities.
