The Nepali Army, recognizing the vulnerability of its terrain, has established itself as a leading force in disaster management and humanitarian assistance. From earthquake response to flood relief, the Nepali Army cover all the spectrum of man made & natural disaster at the forefront, showcasing its agility, expertise, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of its citizens. Despite facing challenges such as natural disasters, population growth, and environmental changes, the Nepali government and the people have found success and satisfaction in the Army's effective response.

However, the evolving dynamics of natural disasters, population growth, and environmental changes pose continuous challenges in the disaster recovery efforts. This indicates that the Nepali Army is likely to face more profound and new challenges in the future. Enhancing the capacity of the Nepali Army in disaster rescue and relief operations, along with providing appropriate training and necessary resources, is crucial for the nation's preparedness.

According to Article 267, Clause 4 of Section 28 of the Nepali Constitution, the Nepali Army is mandated to be involved in disaster management. Even though disaster relief is not the primary responsibility of the Nepali Army, Nepali Army has been actively involved in calamities to rescuing and providing relief during emergencies has significantly increased public trust and confidence in the institution.
